How old do you have to be to get a tattoo in the uk?
im 16 and my mum has give me permission to get a tattoo, but some places say you have to be over 18. there is one place were you have to be 16 but its in london and i live in lancashire does anyone know were i could get one done ?
18 but depends were you go some people know people who do them outside like in there houses and stuff thought mates.
no where in Lancashire will do i for a 16 year old even with parental consent - sorry!

if i were you id wait till i was 18, then you would kno for sure that its what you want.
if you really really really want it done id try somewhere that isnt that well know, bills and studio 81 etc wont even let you through the door im afraid!… although bills didnt ask for ID, but that was a piercing - duno if i helped….
Reputable places will refuse to tattoo anyone without ID proving you are 18 or over - under 18 and you won’t have a leg to stand on if anything goes wrong, plus if they are prepared to freely break the law, what’s to say they don’t neglect basic hygiene rules as well?
I believe the age is 18. Although, if your mom has given you permission she can go with you. If she is with you then you will be able to get it since you have a parent or guardian with you.
